But on Monday Ruby Rose reminded everyone that there's a beast under that beauty. 

The 29-year-old shared a throwback shot to 2012, when she trained in boxing for a charity match, showing off her athletic physique and a tattoo in tribute of her godfather, iconic boxer Lionel Rose.

Ruby was wearing a red tank top and sports bra combo that showed off her svelte physique - though perhaps most notable was her short blonde hair.

Her boxing training led up to a charity bout against Yi Sia in October of 2012, which she would win on points. 

The starlet was born Ruby Rose Langenheim - going by her first and middle name in honour of godfather Lionel Rose - who was the first Indigenous Australian to be named the Australian Of The Year.

'I met Lionel five or six times as a young tacker and he was a huge inspiration to me,' she told the Herald Sun in 2012.

Her adoption of the legendary boxer's name was not without contention, with his wife Jenny Rose claiming to the publication that she was cashing in on their name, adding 'people assume that she is part of our family. She is not.' 

However, Ruby brushed it off, saying 'he passed away as my godfather. They can't take that away from me.
